The 1.6L DVVT gasoline engine is typically designed using the similar principle with VVT engine but is more advanced technically than it. The difference is that, the VVT type can only adjust air intake valve while the DVVT type engine can adjust the air intake and exhaust valves at the same time and boasts large torque and power at low speed. In addition, the DVVT system can improve vehicle's power performance and reduce fuel consumption.
This four cylinder engine was put into production in 2012. Its maximum power can reach 93kW/6150rpm, maximum torque 160Nm/3900rpm, and rated power 58kW/L.Compared with ordinary engine, the 1.6L DVVT gasoline engine has 12% more power and 24% lower fuel consumption. It has been used for Chery Tiggo, A3, G3 and Qoros 3.
